Fangoria 2010 – Machine

A steam-punk styled adventure through time in the Fangorium. With 18 months of building and preparation it was by far our most ambitious show to date. When you pick a theme like steam-punk you can’t do half measures. This has enjoyed some massive Internet fame when Cory Doctorow called it “jaw-dropping awesomesauceular” on Boing Boing, which was of course totally awesome.

As an added bonus this year we’ve made a behind the scenes video, we’ve called The Engineers’ View. It’s a complicated beast to watch, but I guess that’s kind of the point… good luck.

Here’s the invite video:

  1. Hey guys, you do a wonderful with your work! I LOVE the haunts you do especially the 2004 voodoo themed one. I would love to see a behind-the-scenes feature. My mind is still boggled on how you do this stuff! I kept saying to myself, “HOW THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT?”

My boyfriend and I run a website called Theme Park Adventure. We mainly cover most of the major Southern California Halloween events/attractions such as Knott’s Halloween Haunt and other local haunts. Too bad you guys live in U.K., we’d love to do a story about you!

  2. Hey I watched your vid 24,960 times it was that good!

And I notice you got Boinged. Well done!

I feel (even more) honoured now to have experienced The Machine first hand!

  3. hell yeah, this is pretty damn awesome. nice work you two! was just thinking of you the other day, wondering what you’d been up to, and then you posted this. now i gotta catch up on anything i’ve missed from the history of fangoria.
